Applications of nanocellulose as biosensing platforms for the detection of functional biomacromolecules: A Review

Cellulose is a group of materials that can be made into low-cost devices because they are the most common biomaterials in nature. Cellulose-based polymers flexible, biocompatible, biodegradable, and easy to functionalise mass produce. Cellulosic substrates attractive biosensing platforms their unique properties, exceptional simplicity, compatibility with standard technologies. Furthermore, cellulose-based approaches meet following criteria for optimal diagnostic assays or devices: real-time connectivity; simplicity specimen collection; affordability; specificity; sensitivity; user-friendliness; speed robustness; deliverability end-users. As result, cellulose suitable constructing novel analytical community. The use as nano-engineered matrix material has enabled recent advancements biosensors. Several methodologies producing composites fabrication various biosensors have been described reviewed. Biological macromolecules immense importance genetic pathogenicity detection. Likewise, there many research reports, but gap regarding review this area biological macromolecule detection like nucleic acids proteins. This study looked at previously unexplored well features make it good choice applications engineering It also how different systems used such matrices detect (DNA, proteins, RNA) samples.
